To thine own self be true

Digital world existence is tough. Survival of the fittest does not apply to the web. Whoever can post the fastest and collect enough followers reigns the highest and most powerful. There are excessive amounts of posers and braggers that create an imbalance of whats REAL! Before all the social media, I got my unrealistic view of life from The Hills. Pathetic, yes I know, but I was a young girl living in Los Angeles with an internship at a studio, an apartment, and a boyfriend. Seems par to LC's life, wrong. Without production crews and an MTV budget, I struggled to keep my life from becoming a big fat disaster.

The story line I was trying to recreate in my own life ended with me focusing on interning rather than graduating, living with my boyfriend longer than it was healthy, buying beyond my means and overall hating myself more than Heidi and Spencer. Oh my, the trouble we can cause by not being true to ourselves and walking our own paths. Thankfully, I stopped trying to recreate someone else's life and began creating my own vision of the life I want.
